Gearing Up for NaNoBlogMo — November 1st!

Just under 1 week to go before the kick off of NaNoBlogMo on my blog!

Some of you don’t have the background on this… The original post about it was on one of the other blogs that crashed and burned due to server issues that the various webhosts were having. So the short and sweet of it is that rather than writing a book every day for the 30 days of November (which is known as NaNoWriMo), I am going to write a blog post every day for 30 days. And since I’m an author, my blog posts will have a twist —

I will be writing my next book (partially) through this 30 days of blogging!

Available on CreateSpace and Amazon. Click the picture to be taken there.

That means you all will get to read a great portion of my next written work just by reading my blog!! I write Creative Non-Fiction, and the story I have to tell is both juicy and hilarious. I am planning to have some fun times on my blog for the 30 days of NaNoBlogMo this November! You will get to meet the characters and witness some of their shenanigans. And you will get to have some input on how the book turns out.

I am expecting comments and suggestions and even creative edits from those reading my blog for the next 30 days…

50,000 words does not a book make — and that’s the goal of NaNoWriMo: to write 50,000 words of a book in 30 days. It is supposed to be your very rough draft and kick start you to getting the manuscript finalized. There’s no way I will finish the entire book in 30 days. Anybody who thinks they can write a book in 30 days needs to stop drinking out of the rusty tap! But I will get a good portion of it written, with input from readers, and be able to get it finished sooner than later.

As previously mentioned, if you would like to join my NaNoBlogMo journey this November, just start blogging on November 1st and each day you write a post, come here to that day’s post and link your post to my post. That way, we’ll have a list of posts that people can hop around to and read other people’s blogs as well. As a matter of fact, if you are joining in on the November NaNoBlogMo writing challenge, use the Mr. Linky below to link to your main blog page. Then, starting next month, go to the post for that day and link to your post for that day. We’ll have a running list of blogs that are participating here on this post, and a running list each day of blog posts for that day. Should make it easy-peasy for folks to find your contributions to this NaNoBlogMo challenge.

  1. I can’t remember now if I signed up to join you in November or not, via the old post that is. Maybe?
I am planning on Nanowrimo, but I have no idea yet what I am doing. Not unusual, but still a scary thought all the same.
Provide life doesn’t throw us any more curve balls, I hope to participate in the blog along as well.

    1. Would love to have you join me! I don’t think you signed up on the other post because honestly I don’t think I ever got the form working. Either way, I can’t access that blog at all so anyone who signed up will have to do so again. So sorry! I guess I’m doing NaNoWriMo too indirectly since I’m writing the book via my blog… I’ve not had any success with NaNoWriMo in any of the years I’ve tried. Start out all gung ho! and then fall by the wayside swiftly. I figured if I can make it through NaNoBlogMo, maybe next year I’ll aim to do NaNoWriMo again…
