[Knitting] It Is Done!

I finished the scarf I started for my husband…

It took a total of 12 calendar days; however, I didn’t knit every day. Some days, I only knit 2 or 4 rows and then put it down. For an 80+ inch length scarf that’s about a foot wide, I don’t think 12 calendar days is bad at all! And right as I was finishing the knitting my blocking boards and pins arrived.

Synchronicity…

The scarf has since been blocked and he’s worn it a couple of times too! He loves how soft and squishy it is. I am just happy that he really likes it and is not just being “nice” LOL. Now I just need to figure out a few adjustments and it will be perfected!

The pattern I used is called Latte Scarf and can be found on Ravelry. Although I have purchased patterns from Ravelry before — the Project Peace 2017 pattern is one of them — most of the patterns I find on Ravelry are free. Well written, with pictures, and 100% free. You certainly can’t beat that! And the Ravelry website is also an awesome online community of knitters.

I still need to finish my Project Peace 2017 shawl…

That kind of fell by the wayside when I got engrossed in getting hubby’s scarf done and done. I am all kinds of past the 20 day knit-a-long that began on December 1st for this project, but I’m still going to finish it. Not because I paid for the pattern either! But because it’s a beautiful shawl and I want to make it anyway.

And we can’t forget the scarf I’m making as a gift that needs to get finished this weekend too…

Knitting, Writing, and Arting… How the hell am I gonna fit all that into one day???? LOL
